ACV Gunship is an Air Cushioned Vehicle (Hovercraft) with a pneumatic turret attached on the front. The team consisted of 8 students all with various engineering backgrounds. I joined this team my freshman year, and helped out with mechanical engineering design and production. I also replicated the complete vehicle in CAD and printed out smaller scale 3-D prints for display and explanations at the California Maker Fair. The team lead invited me to travel, attend, and present the project in California. It was one of the biggest introductory project inspirations for me during my college career. We eventually won editor choice award out of 300 participants.
